Description
Originally from the province of Cádiz and trained in Granada and Seville, Lucía Álvarez "La Piñona" is considered one of the most distinctive dancers of her generation, offering a dance style defined by character and subtlety.
She began her career performing in major *tablaos* and at national and international festivals, collaborating with renowned artists such as Arcángel, Esperanza Fernández, and Manuel Liñán, and dancing with companies like the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía.
After winning the "Desplante" First Prize at the La Unión Festival in 2011, she created her own productions—such as *Emovere* (featured at the Jerez Festival and nominated for a Lorca Award), *Recital*, *Abril*, and *Insaciable* (most recently presented at the Seville Biennial to great critical and public acclaim). "La Piñona" is a unique dancer; she belongs to no specific school, and her dance style is deeply personal, remaining free from the influence of trends or fads.
