Description
At the height of his fame, Marcel Pagnol receives a commission from the editor-in-chief of a major women's magazine.
She asks him to write a literary serial in which he can recount his childhood, his Provence, and his first loves. As he pens the opening pages, the child he once was—little Marcel—suddenly appears to him.
Thus, his memories resurface through his words: the arrival of talking pictures, the first major film studio, his bond with actors, and the experience of writing. The greatest storyteller of all time becomes the hero of his own story.
